My favorite trend right now: Fishnets!

I know that by now I don't need to convince anyone. The fishnet trend is all over the place and I, (like so many others) am in LOVE!
(The word "love" in the previous sentence is to be read in a slightly higher pitch.. this is important.)
So I figured I'd contribute to the fishnet love-fest with some ootd and detail pics. Enjoy! ;D
Went out yesterday on a hunt for some new ones. Had managed to kill off my other ones x)
I found it very strange, considering how huge this trend is, (although not exactly new anymore, it's still up and going), how hard it was to find these in store! I went to your basic shopping mall, thinking I'd find these at every turn; nothing! Only the more rocker/costume/goth stores had anything to offer at all, and it sure wasn't much. Guess Ima have to get on the internet stores if I want to add anything more
fishnet-y to my wardrobe. Sigh. I know that's how... well, everyone shoppes these days, but I like the feeling of coming home with my new stuff in my shopping bags and try them on again to see if they look as good at home as they did when I tried them on in the store. I DON'T like buying something and then sit around and wait for it for a week and a half. That's just way beyond my patience span. Oh well, can't fight the technological progress, i guess :j
It's the perfect detail to peek through ripped jeans for an edgy look <3
Or a perfect way to spice up an minimalistic outfit.
Although the trend mostly features the standard black fishnets they also come in a variety of colours for those who want to stand out a little extra. White and red ones are especially popular.

My personal favorite: the diamond fishnets under ripped jeans. Love how Tiffany Federer styled it in her "Sunday Details" look! Check her out on Instagram and lookbook!
(Diamond fishnets where nowhere to be found in that mall I went to, by the way. So get onto the internet stores for this look!)
Feeling inspired? I know I am! Can't wait to see more looks from this trend!
'Til next time!

How to rock the oversized sweather look; it's not spring quite yet!

Spring is so close we can almost smell it, right? But "almost" is never quite good enough so I will be sticking to the winter wardrobe for a bit longer. I know, I know; no fun, bet there are ways to look as stylish as always while still keeping the cold at bay. The oversized sweaters are the trend that keeps on giving! Here I have some tips to add that little extra to the oversized sweater look!

This flowy knit from is just so cozy and lightweight. Super casual and perfect for the slightly warmer days. To make more of a statement, wear it with some colourful pants and accessories. (You will notice that I am a bit of a maroon and burgundy freak) ;)
"Hahaha, how about no?!" Am i right, ladies?
This look is made to turn heads! I love wearing an oversized sweater like a loose dress. Gives me the perfect opportunity to pull out my thigh high socks from H&M too. (I am so grateful that they keep selling them every year as I wear them out pretty fast.) Now, this sweater has some nice, deep pockets on the sides that one can barely see. That's right, POCKETS! As I'm not very much for handbags, (I know, there is clearly something very wrong with me), some proper pockets are my very best friend.
(Sadly, the store I bought this shirt in is one i do not buy from anymore, for ethical reasons, so I will not be mentioning them here.)
Knit from H&M, bag from Ahlens, pants from Vero Moda.
One of the best things with the oversized sweater is that it's a total grab and go, and it's guaranteed to be a stylish street piece. This last one is from port 73.
Knit from Vero Moda.
Sometimes, less is more. Just showing of some collarbone or adding some bralette lace to the look makes for a romantic and flirty accessory in itself.
I hope you found some inspiration and is ready to keep warm for a little bit longer!
I'm know I've been awol for a while. Been starting school again after six years off the grid, and has been going to USA for a longer visit, so has been a bit occupied. My apologies. Am currently in New Jersey anyway, studying away, but will try to keep the posts coming regularly.
Til' next time!
